Monocouche means "one coat". It's a through-coloured render: the colour runs all the way through the material, so once it's on and finished there's nothing to paint. It gives a house a clean, modern look, and it's a great option if you're after a low-maintenance finish that looks good year after year.
How we apply it
Proper preparation is key to a long-lasting render. On a re-render, the old render is hacked off back to a solid substrate, and where the wall needs it a base coat goes on first. The monocouche is then applied, by machine on bigger jobs, and finished to a clean float finish with neat lines at beads, corners and window reveals. We can even render house number beads into the wall for a sleek, seamless finish.
See it before you choose
A colour chart can only show so much. On new builds, self-builds and renovations we can put up test panels, so you can compare monocouche with silicone and lime render and see the colours and textures in natural daylight before the full application begins.
Where we work
We render bungalows, houses, extensions and new builds from our base in Bridgwater, across Somerset and Dorset, including Taunton and Yeovil.
